Rock River Run #2 Results

Vacations, medical appointments, and other legitimate prior commitments reduced the size of our group today. Ovcrsleeping and other illegitimate excuses kept a few of our team away also. Still, we had 10 kids come out to take on Rock River. We had two groups. The first did the entire distance of the road (5.5 miles) while the second did only the 3 mile uphill portion (which is still TOUGH).

Overall, we saw significant improvement in the athletes that have run both times at Rock River. Max and Leo were faster this time, despite the fact that we moved the finish line to the summit of the road (about 200m further up the hill). Becky was solid even though today was her first run in two weeks (cross training during the break is a good thing).

You guys are going to have 2 or 3 more attempts to earn T-shirts this summer. The times that you need to run are as follows.

Boys 45:00
Girls 52:00

Those times may seem like they will be tough to get, but with training, many of you should be able to accomplish them. If you do not make the times during the summer, there will be opportunities during the season to earn your T-shirts, however, the times required will be faster.
