Watch This Video

You all need to watch this video. Listen to every thing the coach says, listen to what the athletes are doing, listen to their mileage, take note of them timing their own intervals. Absorb everything.

The Woodlands High had 23 runners break 10 minutes for 2 miles last year. That is at ONE high school. There is no shortcut to success. As you can see, these guys work extremely hard.

Masters Meet Seed Times

Zavesky, 5:02.72
Ralstin, 5:04.0
Scott, 5:04.57
Ankhelyi, 5:06.04
Devitt-Payne, 5:09.77
Taylor, 5:09.86
Compton, 5:10.54
Hobby, 5:11.28
Powless, 5:11.88
Green, 5:11.93
Harcus, 5:12.14
Kroll, 5:13.87

  1. All 12 of these girls have a shot at the top 3 places.
  2. Becky and Harcus ran tremendous negative splits at the D3 meet and should be capable of much faster times off an evenly paced race.
  3. Ralstin and Zavesky have been #1 and #2 in the section all year, but were a way's off of their season bests. They may have been holding a bit back in the 1600 because were doubling back in the 800 (as was Compton).
