Mason and Juan at the 2024 State Meet. |
Sheet 1 contains the stats for the team Champions.
Sheet 2 has the stats for the 3rd place team (the top 3 teams get on the medal podium).
Sheet 3 contains the stats for the 10th place team.
Top 10 finishes are still quite an acomplishment, so I've included that stat as well. There is one more important fact about top 10 finishes. Each year, the state re-distributes state meet berths based on how many teams from each section have finished in the top. The Sac-Joaquin Section lost berths a decade or so ago, but top 10 finishes by SJS teams on the boys side in the mid 2010's brought a berth back to our section. I fear that now we're in danger of losing that slot again. For the girls side, we are at 3 berths and may go to 4 berths due to Placer's high finish last year.
Special Note: Starting in 2014 the enrolment cap for D4 schools has been higher, resulting in larger schools competing in D4 and team times that are much faster than the average from before 2014. If you really want to place high these days, you need to see what has been happening since 2014
