Hey Team! It's Going Down Tommorrow!
I often tell our athletes that if they want to get to the top of the mountain, you first have to see the top of the mountain. Our Varsity Boys will be running against 2 of the top 15 teams in the NATION tomorrow. We will face off against National Pre-Season #3 Jesuit of Sacramento and #14 Matilda Torres of Madera.
The Kim Duyst is a GREAT opportunity for all of our athletes to run against high level competition on a FAST course. To make it even more interesting, this is one of the few NIGHT meets to be held anywhere.
Our first races of the day will begin at 5:15. Athletes, you need to be at River Oaks Golf Course by no later than 4:00 PM. Note that there is usually a LOOOOONG line to get into the parking lot, so you should plan to arrive by closer to 3:45.
Please check this link for a complete schedule of races.
Unfortunately, there will be a huge gap in our schedule. Our varsity teams are running in the Invitational Division, which is after the 4 varsity races and after the college races. I will not require that all of our athletes stay for the entire meet, however, I encourage it. It's really good for our younger athletes to see what the best teams in the country look like and that we can get in and proudly compete with them, even if we don't win. Personally, I will probably leave to get some dinner after our FS and JV athletes finish their races and then I'll come back later for the college races and Invitational high school races.
